David Copperfield Print to Motion Poster

Objective — Create an advertising poster solution for both print and digital media; these deliverables will promote a certain event.

Concept — David Copperfield, the greatest illusionist of our time, has frequent performances at the MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas. In order to capture his frequent theme of disappearing and reappearing during acts, this typographic poster uses type as image to encourage anyone to see the magic for themselves. The poster itself would ideally be utilized near Las Vegas bus stops which receive a lot of attention. In order to use the “motion” aspect of this poster, the viewer must download the Artivive app (QR code in the bottom left corner of the poster to download the app) and scan the poster with the app for the video to automatically play. Once intrigued, the viewer can purchase tickets for this event by scanning the QR code on the bottom left of the poster.
